The driving force behind UrbanUp: Mihir Menda

Mihir Menda is the founder of UrbanUp and the driving force behind our initiative. He is currently an engineering undergraduate at Columbia University.

By doing his bit to heal India's broken housing market through this endeavor, he aspires to create a lasting impact on economically vulnerable families and communities. With access to a cleaner, healthier environment, and sustainable housing, he seeks to provide these communities with dignified and improved living conditions.

His program is based on the concept of low-cost housing in India that would improve accommodation access, urban affordability, safety, and security for people who belong to the low-income strata of society.

His reason for undertaking this initiative is his belief that affordable and eco-friendly housing is the foundation for individuals to build happy lives. It is the first step in helping children and families overcome their hardships and find the stability they need to thrive.
