H.N.Ravindra's Story

H. N. Ravindra came to Bangalore 15 years ago in search of a job to support his family in a better way. With all odd jobs like working in clinics and small hospitals as a cleaner, he was able to feed himself in the initial days in the city. After struggling for months, he got a housekeeper's job with a private company that pays Rs. 10,000 per month. With the job in hand, he rented a small house for Rs. 4000 per month to shift his family with him. His wife is a homemaker and cares for a 3-year-old and an aged mother. Since preschools also charge a lot of money for admissions these days, it has become very difficult to afford a decent education for his child.

Nearly half of his salary goes for the monthly rent and mortgage payments while he has to balance the medical bills of his mother. With worldly demands growing every day, he is unable to think of a future where his son having a proper education and his family living peacefully. He struggles to make ends meet!

In this struggling phase, UrbanUp came up with the idea of Crowdfunding to provide low-cost, energy efficient housing to benefit him. Now he can fulfil his dreams as we eliminate the inclusion of rogue landlords and agent fees. With our initiative, he can now save the money spent on rent for his child's education.
